Best time to travel to Tanzania:

July through October
The best time to travel to Tanzania is from July through October. During these months, all national parks are easy to visit. July through October are the best months to spot wildlife because it gets drier. The temperatures are pleasant and the rain is minimal. Prices are quite high and it can be busy due to international holidays.

October through February
It is considered the shoulder season, but you can actually count these months as part of the best time to travel to Tanzania. For Serengeti, January and February are even the best months. The chance of rain is slightly higher than in the high season, but as a result, nature is also beautifully in bloom. Rates for tours and accommodation are somewhat lower, and safaris are excellent. This time of year is migration and calving season in Serengeti.

March through May
The bad months to travel to Tanzania are March through May. That is when it rains the most.
