Are tipping mandatory?

No, tips are not mandatory, but they are highly appreciated in Tanzania. Giving a tip is a way to show appreciation for the dedication and hospitality of the people who make your safari an unforgettable experience.

During a safari, you will meet various staff members, such as your guide/driver, lodge staff, and sometimes porters or other employees. If you are satisfied with the service, a tip is a wonderful token of appreciation.

At Summa African Adventure, you will receive a guideline regarding customary tips before departure, so you know what is customary in Tanzania. Of course, you always decide for yourself whether and how much you wish to give.

The most important thing is that you feel comfortable during the trip. A smile, a kind word, and appreciation for the people you meet often make just as much of an impression as a tip.

Yes, you can always book extra excursions. You can schedule these in consultation with us. You can also add extra days to go on day trips. Let us know your wishes and we will make them a reality.
