Elephant Paradise Lake Manyara is a lush and water-rich wildlife park in Northern Tanzania.
The forested area is home to a large elephant population and the rare tree-climbing lion species.
Lake Manyara National Park is also the habitat for a special animal called the blue monkey. This monkey species owes its name to the subtle blue-gray sheen in its fur. Large groups of blue monkeys live around Lake Manyara, so there is a good chance you will encounter them during your visit.
During the rainy season, thousands of flamingos gather here, feeding on algae from the saltwater all day long. Pelicans, spoonbills, storks, and countless other waterbirds can also be seen here.
The park has a unique appearance due to its dense green vegetation and the large lake. Here, you drive not only across open grasslands but also under a dense canopy. Elephants, giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, hippos, and various antelope species live in the park, while baboons are often present in large groups right at the entrance.
After a beautiful safari, you can enjoy dance performances in nearby Mto wa Mbu, play football on dusty fields, or buy textiles (kitenge) at the local market.
