Tanzania is home to one of the largest animal migrations in the world: the Great Wildebeest Migration.
The Great Migration is the annual trek of millions of wildebeest, accompanied by hundreds of thousands of zebras and gazelles, as they travel through the Serengeti in Tanzania and cross the border into the Maasai Mara in Kenya in search of fresh grass and water.
It is a continuous natural cycle rather than a one-off event. The herds migrate depending on rainfall and the availability of fresh grass, meaning their location changes throughout the year. This makes every migration safari unique.
It is more than just a spectacle of wildlife. It is a journey of survival. They are constantly attacked by predators, nowhere as fiercely as by the big cats of Africa – lions, leopards, and cheetahs – dramatic river crossings, and the enormous crocodiles that lie in wait for them at various river crossings.
As a tourist, you can experience it, and it makes a great impression because it is so spectacular. During our safaris, we ensure that you come first, with respect for the animals and nature.
