What is the Big Migration?

Natural phenomena occur all over the world, but few can rival the immense scale of the annual wildebeest migration through the Serengeti-Mara ecosystem. The sheer numbers alone are hard to comprehend: up to 2 million animals—wildebees, as well as zebras and gazelles—follow the rain and their ancient instincts on a perilous journey of 3,000 kilometers. It is a drama on a truly epic scale: the migrating herds face all kinds of challenges and hardships during their trek from one area to another. They are constantly attacked by predators, nowhere as fiercely as by the big cats of Africa—lions, leopards, and cheetahs—and the enormous crocodiles that lie in wait for them at various river crossings.

Our guests experienced this natural spectacle as overwhelmingly beautiful, something you must experience once in a lifetime.

How many people fit in a safari jeep?

You can opt for a private safari, in which case you have the vehicle and the guide all to yourself. We usually drive in groups of 6 to 7 people; the safari vehicle is equipped with a rooftop so that the entire group has beautiful views

Who are the Hadzabe tribe?

The Hadzabe are a modern hunter-gatherer people living in northern Tanzania. They are considered one of the last hunter-gatherer tribes in Africa, with approximately 1,300 members. The Hadza survive by hunting for their food with handmade bows and arrows and searching for edible plants. The Hadza speak a unique language known as Hadzane, which contains click and popping sounds as well as more familiar sounds. They live around Lake Eyasi in Tanzania
