Day 1 : Arusha

After a friendly welcome at Arusha or Kilimanjaro airport, you will be taken to your hotel in Arusha where you can relax after the long journey.

Accommodation: Green Mountain Hotel

Day 2 :  Walking safari in Arusha National Park

Arusha National Park is a beautiful location to gently get into the safari mood. Together with your guide, you'll go on foot in search of wildlife. How cool is it to come face to face with animals like elephants and giraffes? And it's the latter that the national park is particularly known for. You'll find a "small giraffe" there, which is considerably smaller than most giraffes. At the end of the afternoon, you will be returned to your accommodation in Arusha.

Accommodation: Green Mountain Hotel

Day 3: Sleeping with Masaai

From Arusha, your guide will take you to a genuine Maasai village. You'll receive a warm welcome.

The Osiligilai Maasai Lodge is a spectacular, picturesque eco-lodge. The houses are built in the style of traditional Maasai homes, with private bathrooms and comfortable beds. Nestled between Kilimanjaro and Meru, you can enjoy the serene and expansive Maasai steppe. You can participate in various Maasai activities and entertainment, such as nature walks where you'll learn how the Maasai use plants and herbs for both food and medicine. During the nature walk, you'll see the impressive rock climbing tree, a historic Maasai cave, and perhaps even wildlife, depending on the seasons. For children, there are donkey rides with the Maasai. In the afternoon, you can enjoy an unforgettable sunset over Kilimanjaro, as the Maasai perform their sunset dance. After sunset, we gather around the fireplace for a Maasai barbecue and storytelling. The friendly Maasai staff will tell you all about Maasai culture and their way of life.

Accommodation: Osiligilai Maasai Lodge

Day 4: explore Kilimanjaro

After admiring the sunrise from Mount Kilimanjaro and enjoying a traditional Maasai breakfast, it's time to travel to your next stop. We hope you learned a lot from this unique and cultural stop. Hopefully, this experience was very interesting for you.

We're off to explore Kilimanjaro.

If it's cloudless, you'll have a truly special view of Kilimanjaro, and your guide can tell you exactly what your hike will look like today and the next. After enjoying the view, the hike begins. In the morning, you'll walk to a small waterfall. You'll be walking on the fertile slopes of Kilimanjaro, making for beautiful photos. After seeing the waterfall, you'll hike back. On the way up, you were happily going downhill, so now it's a bit of a climb. Take your time and enjoy the view every now and then.

The second part is the walk back to your lodge. The lodge is located at the foot of Kilimanjaro, among coffee plantations. Together with your guide, you'll walk at your own pace through plantations and African villages. He can tell you a lot about the area, the people, and Kilimanjaro itself. Your small-scale accommodation is secluded and surrounded by nature. In the evening, light the campfire and enjoy the sunset, the view of Kilimanjaro, and the starry sky.

Accommodation: Kilimanjaro Luxury Camp

Day 5:Tarangire National Park

In the morning, enjoy a delicious breakfast with fresh fruit, eggs cooked to your liking, and toast. Then it's time to hit the road again. The guide will pick you up and we drive to Tarangire National Park, a park that differs significantly from other game reserves. One of its most striking features is the beautiful baobab trees that adorn the park and the large number of elephants that live here. There's also a good chance of seeing lions, and it's one of the few parks in the world where you can spot wild dogs.

As the sun begins to set, you'll drive back to the park exit, enjoying beautiful views. It's about a 1.5-hour drive to the town of Karatu. Once at your lodge, you can freshen up and enjoy the delicious meal prepared by the cook, after which you can drift off to sleep in your bed.

Accommodation: Farm of dream Lodge

Day6:Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, you'll drive towards the gate of the world-famous Serengeti National Park in Tanzania. While searching for wildlife, we'll continue our drive with incredible views over the savannah. You'll find yourself on one of the most beautiful game drives in the area. There's no better place to experience one of the world's greatest wildlife spectacles up close.

You'll sleep in a beautiful tented lodge in the east of the park or just outside, with the sound of roaring lions in the background. You'll definitely feel close to nature.

Accommodation: Heritage luxury tented camp

Day7 : Serengeti National Park

In the Serengeti, we drive across the vast plains and through forested areas dotted with stray palm trees towards the Masai kopjes, the hunting grounds. You're almost certain to see lions during your Serengeti safari, and with a bit of luck, you might spot cheetahs. During the great migration, you'll see millions of wildebeest and zebras thundering across the plains in search of fresh grass and water. A wondrous spectacle of Mother Nature. At the end of the day, you'll return to the tented camp and spend another night under the stars of the Serengeti.

Accommodation: Heritage luxury tented camp

Day8: Serengeti – Ngorongoro Krate

After breakfast, we drive south. Trees and shrubs become scarcer. You drive through the endless grasslands that give the Serengeti (Endle Plains) its name. The road slowly begins to climb, with the immense view of the Serengeti plains behind you. Along the way, you sometimes see giraffes on their way to the Ngorongoro Crater, which you'll arrive at in the late afternoon.

The Ngorongoro Crater is also called the eighth wonder of the world and Noah's Ark. With a diameter of eighteen kilometers, it is the largest, completely intact crater in the world and is truly teeming with wildlife. After a good view of the crater, we head to our charming lodge in the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.

Accommodation: Africa Safari Karatu

Day 9:Ngorongoro Crater

Today's program includes a descent into the Ngorongoro Crater. You'll first drive through a tropical rainforest, where you'll occasionally catch a glimpse of the crater through the leaves. It's teeming with wildlife: (plenty of) lions, hundreds of wildebeest and zebras, a pool full of grunting hippos, rhinos, ostriches, and jackals. With a bit of luck, you'll complete your Big Five viewing today.

After the descent, you'll drive back to civilization in about three hours, bringing your Tanzania safari through the most famous game parks to an end. We'll take you back to your hotel in Arusha, where you can relax and reminisce about this wonderful experience.

Accommodation: Africa Safari arusha

Day10: End of the safari

In the morning, we'll visit the Cultural Heritage Museum. This is a place where art and artifacts from the past and present are displayed in one place. A wonderful way to end this trip. Your guide will take you back to the airport in the hope that you go home with a warm heart for Tanzania
